Classic Tofu Scramble

I was craving a plain jane tofu scramble tonight. Here is what I came up with. It’s honestly the best scramble I’ve tasted yet!

Ingredients

  • 1 package of extra firm tofu, pressed
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp mustard powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp black sea salt
  • 2 tbls nutritional yeast
  • water
  • 1/2 c Daiya cheese shreds (optional)
  1. Crumble the tofu into an oiled pan. Cook on medium heat
  2. After 5 minutes, add all spices and increase heat to medium-high
  3. As the scramble starts drying out, add water as needed. Continue to cook for about 10 minutes
  4. Once the scramble has melded with the seasonings, add in the cheese if you prefer
  5. Enjoy!!
